Keep in mind that not all car seats in India come with an ECE certification and you should not buy a car seat that does not say “ECE R44/04 certified.”
5-Point Safety Harness

For example, a baby less than 15 months of age should be placed in a car seat only in the rear-facing position. While a child older than that should sit in a forward-facing position.
