We liked the fact the museum offered a guided tour as we learnt a lot of things that we would have not known, had there not been a guided tour. However, we found the photography regulations too stringent and confusing. We had to pay an additional photography fee of Rs. 50, but for this amount, you can only take photos of the palace from outside. If you wish to take photos both inside and outside the palace, then the mobile phone photography fee is Rs. 500. We paid the Rs. 50 for outside photography, but as soon as I took my professional camera out of the back, a guard came and stopped me. Turns out, for the Rs. 50, you can only take outside photos on your mobile camera!
